My name is Chris Thompson and I started a little IT business called Dawn’s Edge Technology, LLC. Normally I would go on about the business, the services we perform and the prices…but I’d like to share something bigger than that. I wanted a way to give back to the people and the community that helped mold me into the person I am today, especially my parents. I decided that sharing my IT skills would be a great place to start and make sure it was well known that this is a family business. Before the business was glimmer in my eye, I spent years working in advanced IT positions and there were always resounding questions that I came home with every day.
What did I accomplish today? Who’s life did I positively affect with IT? Am I using both my social skills and technical skills to the best of my ability? Do you see yourself doing this for the next 40+ years?
When I became overly dissatisfied with the answers I set out to change all that. With the help of other motivated individuals like William and James from Best Press to listen to ideas and encourage us, we’re now on a mission to be the source of technology help with personality, compassion and understanding. Initially, we’re starting small with in-home/in-house IT services and simple remote desktop help then moving into the small-to-medium business sector. Every person and every business should be entitled to friendly, computer related help and a nice conversation about the services being performed. We’ll come in, sit down with you, go over what we’re doing and allow you to watch if you choose. If we can’t meet you face-to-face, we’ll be just as friendly while performing the same services via remote session from our office to your location. For those willing to watch and learn, that’s service AND training for one low price. Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Now only if I could get my mechanic and lawyer to do the same thing.
